Wildcat -- I truly appreciate this counter-point to my point!
.
For me... it is through those who disagree that the greatest learning is experienced.
.
It's especially valuable for me to discover that from your point of view you translate my message as one of "blame and guilt" --
.
A message that is simply my opinion (which was asked for) and is in TOTAL agreement with your statement that, "There are no shortcuts. Sometimes, there are no easy answers." Though I didn't state that as succinctly as you.
.
It certainly does highlight for me how we create our own experiences... you have yours, I have mine, for me there is no one at 'blame' and nothing to be 'guilty' of along with an awareness that 'opposition' only brings more resistance to arriving at the place I desire.
.
I have no difficulty honoring the satisfaction that comes from YOUR realization that "to take arms against a sea of troubles, and, by opposing, end them" even though I personally find no satisfaction there. My satisfaction is far more likely revealed by the statement... "To take arms toward a sea of joy and, by wrapping those arms around them, BE that"
.
And though I suspect that may sound trite to you... when it comes down to it -- it's the very differences we have in the life we experience that validates for me the infinite possibilities and potentials of the "realities" that co-exist. Affirming our power as individuals to decide and choose the way we want to feel. Which, in my experience... has brought me FAR more of all the good stuff I could ever imagine than opposition ever has.
.
I celebrate and invite people to trust their OWN experience... not mine. And I treasure people sharing their experience as it reveals to me a greater awareness of the choices to be made. And I love the fact that I can successfully live in a world aware of the magic and the underlying Law of Attraction and you can successfully live in a world denying the existence of both -- yet we both experience satisfaction!
.
YES! I'm still convinced we make it up -- and IT IS GOOD!
.
Thank you, Wildcat
I appreciate YOU!

Your reader is correct. The Law Of Attraction is a fiction. The only people who make money from it are the authors of books, seminars, devices and products that promote it.

The universe has an objective, external reality. The only way to change it is through physical means: discipline, effort and persistence. Magic does not exist.

Obviously, sometimes even discipline is not enough: sometimes events are beyond your personal ability to change. Stock market crashes, financial rollbacks, corporate malfeasance, idiot presidents who declare war and cause the death of your son: you can't control these.

One critical message for your reader: the problems you have experienced are world problems. The fictional LOA cannot help you in the slightest bit. Your spiritual state or your failure to believe and embrace some belief have nothing to do with this external reality. Perhaps you made some faulty financial decisions, but I have no doubt you made the best decisions you could at the time.

Notice the trite and smug advice that Mary K. gives. The translation is, "Your spiritual state was not good enough, certainly not as good as mine. You are to blame." Guilt, guilt, guilt!

You are NOT to blame for the world's problems. You are not to blame for how they have hurt you.

Let go of the fiction that your belief changes external reality. Only action can do that.

You will have to ride out your financial problems and face them squarely with determination and action. This will be difficult, but the ONLY way is through action, not wishes.

There are no shortcuts. Sometimes, there are no easy answers.

But what IS satisfying is to realize this, to take arms against a sea of troubles, and, by opposing, end them.
