About

Hi… I’m Mary K ~ self-proclaimed Ambassador of Play

One of my favorite quotes:

“Your never satisfied. That’s what life is, it’s just this on-going, never-ending vacation adventure, you see. You can’t get it wrong and you never get it done – and we recommend you have as much fun as you can along the way.” ~~Abraham Hicks

The way I want to listen to people is AUTHENTICALLY!

I think when we’re in genuine conversation with one another there is a true give and take. A willingness to not only HEAR what the other is saying, but to open up the space to accommodate what has been shared. That’s the way I intend to listen and be listened to.

My top five values are:

  • Joy
  • LOVE
  • Fun
  • INTEGRITY
  • Curiosity

My Life Purpose:

To Feel JOY no matter what!

Who I am and what I do:

I am the creator of the life I live. I ‘do’ a lot of different things — from editing magazines, to coaching people in playing their best game… and I think the theme that ties them all together is that I set an intention each day to find things to CELEBRATE! And I always find LOTS!

My home, family, pets and pleasures:

Since selling my house in 2003 I’ve been actively learning about making myself at home… wherever I AM! Currently, I spend the bulk of my time in Minnesota, where I can hang out with my three sons and their spouses, children and friends. I have two granddaughters and one grandson to play with!!! This is perfect since the kid in me is very much alive — now I have short people to swim with, paint with, clay with, garden with and even experiment with! I have a passion for books, knitting, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, cooking, gazing off into space… let’s just say my pleasures are many and simple.

The most fun I have with my clothes on is:

Laughing with friends!

My vision:

I love waking up to the sun shining in my face. No alarms, just the sound of the waves outside my window and the birds singing in a nearby tree.

The panoramic views from the windows in my lake home are breath-taking! The sunlight reflected off the water outside appears as ripples on the ceiling of my kitchen where fresh coffe is brewing.

It’s been a fabulous week of traveling to visit several business partners and key members of their organizations — yet I’m thrilled to be home, preparing for a weekend visit with my son’s and their families.

As I drink my first cup of coffee I log on to the computer to send cards to each of the people I had met with over the last few days — uploading pictures of us laughing over meals as we planned our vacations!

Ahhhhhh… time to go down to the lake and sit in the sun while I ponder the supplies I’ll need for the weekend of play ahead!
